Qld:Police divers find body of man who jumped off Ipswich bridge
BRISBANE, Dec 15 AAP - Police divers have retrieved the body of a man who was last
seen jumping off a bridge into a river in south-east Queensland.
A police spokesman confirmed the body of a man, believed to be in his 20s, had been
found near Cribb Park, Ipswich on Monday morning.
Several witnesses saw the man jump into the Bremer River from the David Trumpy Bridge
at about 4.30pm (AEST) on Saturday.
The State Emergency Service also assisted in the search with eight volunteers in two flood boats.
No one is yet to report a man missing and police say they are keen to hear from anyone
who knew of a young man that had not returned home or failed to show for work.
