WA:Police warn NYE revellers to be safe

Perth police are warning New Year's Eve revellers to drink responsibly and have a plan
to get home safely as they see in the start of 2011.

Acting Assistant Commissioner GARY BUDGE says officers will be out in force in the
city's major entertainment precincts .. including Northbridge .. Leederville .. Subiaco
.. Fremantle and the the CBD.

Beachside areas such as Hillarys and Scarborough will also be patrolled .. and eight
buses full of police will be ready to be deployed wherever they're needed.

Mr BUDGE says that way if there's any emerging issues or challenges they can quickly
deployed officers across the metropolitan.

Three booze buses and drug buses will be doing random testing throughout the night.
